alk on the Jew Street, you'll see a closed gate at the end. It's not permitted to visit inside, but you can get a good view of the tombs from the gate. There are two planks on either sides of the main gate to the cemetery. One is in Hebrew and the other is in both Malayalam, the local language of Kerala, and in English.

The plaques describes, probably a renovation done to the cemetery in the year 1898.

"The compound wall and the shed inside erected by Jacob Hai Ephraim Cohen to the memory of his father Mr. Jacob Daniel Oohen and his sister Miriam. May their souls rest in peace.
Rahamim 5658 a.m
16 September 1898"
