ost of the southbound intercity buses ( KSRTC) from Ernakulam (the main bus station for the city) travels via Alleppey. Bus journey is about 1½ hours. Use the KURTC ac buses for convenient travel between Alappuzha and Ernakulam.South bound trains travels either via Kottayam or Alleppey. Ask for the ones travels via Alleppey . Most of the Alleppey bound trains stops at Ernakulam Junction ( ERS), popularly called the South station. A few has stop at Ernakulam Town ( also called the North station).
